Mon Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar |
After breakfast; meet your guide in the lobby to begin your city tour of exotic Istanbul. You will tour the Blue Mosque, famous FOR its blue Iznik tiles, and Topkapi Palace
including its world-famous treasury. Topkapi Palace was the seat of the Ottoman Empire for over 400 years. Continue on to the bustling Grand Bazaar with over 4000 shops.

Tue Spice Bazaar, Bosphorus Cruise and St. Sophia Church
|
After breakfast, tour the fragrant Spice Market followed by a cruise along the Bopshorus. After a quick lunch at the posh "Istinye Park" explore St Sophia, Church of the
Holy Wisdom, a Byzantine church built in 537 A.D. AND famous for its massive dome It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture. It was the largest cathedral in
the world for nearly a thousand years, until the completion of the Seville Cathedral in 1520.

Wed Kusadasi, Ephesus & the Selcuk Museum |
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight to Izmir, where you will meet your guide on arrival. Drive to the Selcuk Museum which features
important artifacts found at Ephesus. A short distance away is Ancient Ephesus, once a major harbor on the Aegean, now known for its spectacular antiquities and well
preserved ruins. See the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, Gate of Hercules, The Greek Theater, and other temples, baths, and colonnaded streets. Continue to your
hotel. Enroute, stop at a carpet weaving center where you can view Turkish carpets and colorful kilims.

In the morning, visit the Acropolis; the site of four of the greatest masterpieces of classical Greek art - the Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Erechtheum, and the Temple of
Athena Nike. Next is the new Acropolis Museum housing the archaeological remains of a neighborhood of ancient Athens. The afternoon is at your leisure.
